Richard has been working with Erlang since the mid-90s. He was a member of the High-Performance Erlang (HiPE) research group at Uppsala university, working on things like Core Erlang, inlining, and data flow analysis, and writing tools like Eunit and Edoc, and the syntax tools library. After some other compiler related work, he then spent 11 years as a senior engineer on Klarna’s core team, working on reliability of a 24/7 financial system. He now works for the digital mailbox company Kivra.
